Mirror frame is hand-carved stained pine and given how the piece was constructed the mirror is probably original too. Made in France circa 1860’s. This mirror is a great example of late Chinoisiere with its the use of imagery and asymmetrical dynamic design. Notice the carving details. It was made by a superb craftsman, Gabriel Viardot.
